| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of J. Mark Harrison of Springfield, who | 4 | | passed away on October 18, 2013; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, J. Mark Harrison was born October 7, 1949 in | 6 | | Shelbyville, Indiana; his parents were Clay and Dorothea Hudson | 7 | | Harrison; he married Elizabeth A. Marinello on October 17, 1982 | 8 | | in Wheaton; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, J. Mark Harrison graduated from Greenfield High | 10 | | School in 1968 and earned his Bachelor of Science in Sociology | 11 | | from Ball State University in 1972; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, J. Mark Harrison served as the Executive Vice | 13 | | President of the Home Builders Association of Illinois from | 14 | | 1990 to 2008; he also worked for the Northern Illinois Home | 15 | | Builders Association from 1980 to 1990 and served as the | 16 | | Executive Vice President of the Builders Association of Greater | 17 | | Indianapolis from 1973 to 1980; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, J. Mark Harrison served as the President of the | 19 | | Executive Officers Council of the National Home Builders | 20 | | Association and received the Seldon Hale Lifetime Achievement | 21 | | Award for his work in 2008; and |

| 1 | | WHEREAS, J. Mark Harrison enjoyed stained glass, golfing, | 2 | | fishing, and reading; and
| 3 | | WHEREAS, J. Mark Harrison was preceded in death by his | 4 | | parents; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, J. Mark Harrison is survived by his wife, Liz | 6 | | Harrison; his son, Christopher (girlfriend, Mary Winland) | 7 | | Harrison; his daughters, Jennifer (Richard) Sexton and Lacey | 8 | | and Maggie Harrison; his grandchildren, Landon and Jacob Hill, | 9 | | Mitchell Sexton, and Haley and Sara Harrison; his brothers, | 10 | | Danny (Pam), Tom (Cheryl) and Jack (girlfriend, Marty Welter) | 11 | | Harrison; and his many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
| 12 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | 13 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his | 14 | | family and friends, mourn the passing of J. Mark Harrison; and | 15 | | be it further
| 16 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 17 | | presented to the family of J. Mark Harrison as an expression of | 18 | | our sympathy.
