| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | 3 | | to learn of the death of Minister Ronald "Ron" A. Allgood of | 4 | | Rock Island, who passed away on November 23, 2021; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Ron Allgood was born to Kenneth and Peggy | 6 | | (Roberts) Allgood in Akron, Ohio on January 13, 1959; he | 7 | | attended Butchel High School where he loved to play basketball | 8 | | and run track; he attended Kent State University, after which | 9 | | he enlisted in the U.S. Army and proudly served for seven | 10 | | years; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Ron Allgood worked for many years as a car | 12 | | salesman and enjoyed meeting new people every day; he became a | 13 | | minister at Progressive Baptist Church and found great | 14 | | happiness in placing his faith at the head of his life; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Ron Allgood was an avid Cleveland Browns fan and | 16 | | enjoyed luxury cars and fishing; the only thing he loved more | 17 | | than fishing was spending time with his family, especially his | 18 | | children and grandchildren; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Ron Allgood was preceded in death by his parents | 20 | | and his brother, Bernard Allgood; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Ron Allgood is survived by his wife, Jackie | 2 | | Allgood; his brother, Kenneth (Michelle) Allgood; his sister, | 3 | | Valerie (Albert) Allgood-Smith; his children, Ronald (Terra) | 4 | | Allgood Jr., Brian Chance, Charles Allgood, Jasmine (Omar) | 5 | | Allgood-Ward, Candice (Lawrence) Manson, Ronson Allgood, | 6 | | Shaneeka (Alex) Filippi, and DJ Baker; 20 grandchildren; four | 7 | | great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews; | 8 | | therefore, be it
| 9 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | 10 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 11 | | Ronald "Ron" A. Allgood and extend our sincere condolences to | 12 | | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 13 | | further
| 14 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 15 | | presented to the family of Ron Allgood as an expression of our | 16 | | deepest sympathy.
