| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Mary Alice (nee Galvin) Budreck of | 4 | | McHenry, who passed away on October 6, 2013; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Mary Budreck was born in Chicago on June 10, 1930 | 6 | | to Joseph E. and Myrtle L. (nee Pederson) Galvin; she married | 7 | | Charles J. Budreck, Jr. on December 4, 1954 at Saint Giles | 8 | | Church in Oak Park; she was raised in Oak Park, graduated from | 9 | | Trinity High School in River Forest, and earned her Bachelor of | 10 | | Science Degree in Sociology from Loretta Heights College in | 11 | | Denver, Colorado; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Mary Budreck and her husband lived in Riverside | 13 | | and Oak Park before settling in McHenry; she was a homemaker | 14 | | and was always very busy with all of her children's activities; | 15 | | and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Mary Budreck enjoyed playing golf and played in | 17 | | the Pistakee Golf League for 6 years; she was a member of the | 18 | | McHenry Country Club and the Saint Patrick Catholic Church; she | 19 | | was an avid Chicago Cubs, Bears, and Blackhawks fan and loved | 20 | | to follow her favorite player, Ron Santo; she was known for | 21 | | having a passion for entertaining and throwing some of the best | 22 | | Christmas parties; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Mary Budreck was preceded in death by her son, | 2 | | Charles G. Budreck; her parents; her sister, Pat Reedy; and her | 3 | | brother, Thomas Galvin; and
| 4 | | WHEREAS, Mary Budreck is survived by her husband of 58 | 5 | | years, Charles; her children, Cynthia (Joel) Brumlik, Michael | 6 | | (Rosie) Budreck, Joseph (Jeannine) Budreck, Linda Mueller, and | 7 | | Tom (Elizabeth) Budreck; her 17 grandchildren; her 3 | 8 | | great-grandchildren; her sisters-in-law, Barbara (the late | 9 | | Thomas) Galvin and Julie (the late Richard) Luehrsen; and her | 10 | | brother-in-law, Bernard (Mary Jane) Budreck; therefore, be it
| 11 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | 12 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 13 | | Mary Alice Budreck, and extend our sincere condolences to her | 14 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | 15 | | further
