| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | 3 | | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Kyran | 4 | | Patrick Conarchy, Jr. of Highland Park, who passed away on | 5 | | October 22, 2013; and
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Kyran Conarchy, Jr. served his country in the | 7 | | United States Army during World War II as an air observer and | 8 | | the Executive Officer of Battery A; he earned a Bronze Star for | 9 | | aiding his fellow soldiers and continuing to lead his battery | 10 | | of men during an intense battle in March of 1945; he earned a | 11 | | total of 4 medals during his time in the Army; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Kyran Conarchy, Jr. settled in Highland Park in | 13 | | 1949; he worked for the United States Treasury Department and | 14 | | then as Vice-President at Harris Bank Glencoe-Northbrook for 39 | 15 | | years; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Kyran Conarchy, Jr. was a parishioner at | 17 | | Immaculate Conception Parish in Highland Park for over 60 | 18 | | years, where he was a lector, religious education teacher, and | 19 | | member of several organizations; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Kyran Conarchy, Jr. was preceded in death by his | 21 | | parents, Kyran and Jane Conarchy; his sister, Jane (the late |

| 1 | | Bob) O'Brien; his brothers, William and Jack Conarchy; and his | 2 | | brother-in-law, Warren Weithofer; and
| 3 | | WHEREAS, Kyran Conarchy, Jr. is survived by his siblings, | 4 | | Marian Weithofer, Angela Hunter, and Sister Lois Conarchy | 5 | | Sisters of Loretto; his sisters-in-law, Mary Conarchy and Jane | 6 | | Conarchy; his 42 nieces and nephews; his 88 grand-nieces and | 7 | | nephews; and his 56 great-grand-nieces and | 8 | | great-grand-nephews, who fondly called him "Uncle Goodness"; | 9 | | therefore, be it
| 10 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | 11 | | NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | 12 | | we mourn the passing of Kyran Patrick Conarchy, Jr., and extend | 13 | | our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who | 14 | | knew and loved him; and be it further
