| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Illinois State Trooper Ryan Matthew Albin | 4 | | of rural Bellflower, who passed away on June 28, 2017; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Trooper Albin was born in Urbana to Robert C. and | 6 | | Rebecca A. Cohoon Albin on November 16, 1979; he graduated from | 7 | | Blue Ridge High School in Farmer City, where he was a | 8 | | multi-sport athlete; he attended Eureka College, where he | 9 | | received numerous conference honors in football; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Trooper Albin was accepted into Illinois State | 11 | | Police Academy Class 111; he was assigned to District 6 in | 12 | | Pontiac, where he served for over 11 years; he was awarded the | 13 | | 2015 District 6 Officer of the Year; he was also awarded | 14 | | numerous department commendations and awards for his exemplary | 15 | | criminal interdiction work and DUI enforcement; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Trooper Albin was a member of the National | 17 | | Criminal Enforcement Association; he served as a juvenile | 18 | | officer and a Fraternal Order of Police trustee; he attended | 19 | | Trinity Community Fellowship in Farmer City; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Trooper Albin was preceded in death by his | 21 | | grandparents and his cousin, Brian Cohoon; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Trooper Albin is survived by his children, Stella | 2 | | Grace and Charlie Robert; his parents; his sisters, Raeanne | 3 | | (Peter) Stegemann and Rachelle Albin (Jim Nasif); his special | 4 | | nieces, Chloe, Olivia, and Mia Stegemann; many cousins, aunts, | 5 | | and uncles; and his ISP canine partner, Biko; therefore, be it
| 6 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | 7 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 8 | | Illinois State Trooper Ryan Matthew Albin, and extend our | 9 | | sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew | 10 | | and loved him; and be it further
| 11 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 12 | | presented to the family of Trooper Albin as an expression of | 13 | | our deepest sympathy.
