| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | 3 | | to learn of the death of Daniel "Dan" William Dismer of Coal | 4 | | Valley, who passed away on December 16, 2021; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Dan Dismer was born to Harold and Verlee 'Lee' | 6 | | Dismer in Davenport, Iowa in April of 1948; he attended Rock | 7 | | Island High School where he earned a place at the Illinois | 8 | | State Finals for swimming; he enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1968 | 9 | | and was stationed at Naval Air Station North Island in San | 10 | | Diego, California; he married Virginia "Ginny" in 1973; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Dan Dismer worked in the energy industry and as | 12 | | an electrician before starting a long-term career at the Rock | 13 | | Island Arsenal as a machinist; he retired in 2004; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, In retirement, Dan Dismer enjoyed staying home, | 15 | | researching family genealogy, working with computers, taking | 16 | | care of his two muscle cars, and listening to country music; | 17 | | and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Dan Dismer was preceded in death by his parents, | 19 | | and his sister, Janice Dismer; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Dan Dismer is survived by his wife, Ginny; his |

| 1 | | children, Sheila (Jim) Mountain, Jamie (Casey) Brodersen, and | 2 | | Derek Dismer; his grandchildren, Ellie (Jake) Wietholder, | 3 | | Spencer Haynie, Avery Mountain, Hans Brodersen, Finn | 4 | | Brodersen, and Kieli Seams; his great-grandchildren, Bryson | 5 | | and Hadley; his brother, Jeff (Martha) Dismer, and his cousin, | 6 | | Kathy Lennon; therefore, be it
| 7 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | 8 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 9 | | Daniel "Dan" William Dismer and extend our sincere
condolences | 10 | | to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved
him; and be | 11 | | it further
