| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Elizabeth A. (Betty Ann) Donovan, who | 4 | | passed away on March 5, 2012; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, She was born of Irish immigrants, Bart and Nellie | 6 | | O'Connor; she was a lifelong Chicagoan, a graduate of St. | 7 | | Gregory the Great High School, and St. Francis Hospital School | 8 | | of Nursing; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, She was proud of Chicago, the City's sports teams, | 10 | | and her family; she leaves a legacy of style, stories, and | 11 | | songs; per her request, her gravestone will say she could dance | 12 | | the jig; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her sisters Kathleen | 14 | | Connolly and Peggy O'Malley; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Elizabeth A. (Betty Ann) Donovan, nee O'Connor, | 16 | | leaves her loyal adoring husband, Jack, of 62 years; her | 17 | | children, Janis, Susan (John Arndt), Jack Jr. (Louise), Beth | 18 | | Ann (Richard Martinelli), and Tom (Cathy), and joins her | 19 | | dearly-missed son, Steven; Mimi, aka The Meemster, leaves her | 20 | | precious grandchildren, Zachary, Christopher (Katie), Martha | 21 | | (Aaron), Jack III (Michelle), Donovan, John, Beth, Rich, |
