| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Nicholas I. Fulop, who passed away on | 4 | | June 18, 2017; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Nicholas Fulop was born in Budapest, Hungary to | 6 | | Margrete (Ratz) and Zolton Fulop on January 19, 1930; he | 7 | | honorably served in the United States Army in the Korean War; | 8 | | and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, For nearly 40 years, Nicholas Fulop served with | 10 | | distinction as general manager of the Quadrangle Club at the
| 11 | | University of Chicago; and | 12 | | WHEREAS, Nicholas Fulop was incredibly proud of his work in | 13 | | the restaurant industry, his wife's
legendary broadcast | 14 | | career, his notable philanthropy and charitable endeavors, and | 15 | | when he could, his
ability to predict stocks that would soar | 16 | | and profit; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Nicholas Fulop enjoyed golf, Lipizzan horses, | 18 | | making gourmet meals, and
traveling with his lady love, Merri | 19 | | Dee; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Nicholas Fulop was the beloved and devoted husband |

| 1 | | of Merri Dee; the loving father of Toya (Kevin)
Campbell; the | 2 | | cherished grandfather of Marissa, Jordan, and Kevin Campbell | 3 | | Jr.; the brother-in-law to Thyra (the
late Harold) Clark, Doris | 4 | | Hill, and Ernest (the late Deonie) Blouin; the fond uncle of | 5 | | numerous nieces and
nephews; the friend to adopted son, Richard | 6 | | (Julia Ann) Wright; and faithful friend to many; therefore, be | 7 | | it
| 8 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | 9 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 10 | | Nicholas I. Fulop, and extend our sincere condolences to his | 11 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 12 | | further
