| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Leonard L. "Bud" Nerge of Harvard, who | 4 | | passed away on July 8, 2017; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Leonard Nerge was born in Elmhurst to Louis and | 6 | | Ida (Edecker) Nerge on June 15, 1930; he joined the United | 7 | | States Army in 1954 and married Dorothy Hachmeister in Addison | 8 | | on June 15, 1958; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Leonard Nerge was a member of St. Paul Lutheran | 10 | | Church in Harvard, the McHenry County Farm Bureau, and the | 11 | | Woodstock V.F.W.; he was also involved in the Harvard Milk | 12 | | Day's festivities and was a volunteer firefighter for the Rural | 13 | | Harvard Fire Department; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Leonard Nerge enjoyed dancing, old time music, and | 15 | | reading his farm magazines; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Leonard Nerge was preceded in death by his | 17 | | parents; his brother, Stuart Nerge; and his sisters, Floretta | 18 | | Clausing and Ramona Gieseke; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Leonard Nerge is survived by his wife, Dorothy; | 20 | | his children, Duane Nerge and Cindy (Carl) Gnewuch; and his |

| 1 | | grandchildren, Stephanie, Mark, and Kyle Gnewuch; therefore, | 2 | | be it
| 3 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | 4 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 5 | | Leonard L. "Bud" Nerge, and extend our sincere condolences to | 6 | | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 7 | | further
| 8 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 9 | | presented to the family of Leonard Nerge as an expression of | 10 | | our deepest sympathy.
