| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Carol R. Marks of Wood River, who passed | 4 | | away on July 22, 2017; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Carol Marks was born in Wood River to Paul and | 6 | | Lucille (Davis) Heathcott on August 14, 1936; and
| 7 | | WHEREAS, Carol Marks retired as an office clerk with the | 8 | | Madison County Recorder of Deeds; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Carol Marks was a member of the Bethalto Church of | 10 | | God, where she taught the Senior Sunday School class for | 11 | | several years; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Carol Marks was preceded in death by her parents; | 13 | | her son, Eddie Marks; her former husband, Bill Marks; her | 14 | | stepmother, Harriott Heathcott; and her brother-in-law, Edwin | 15 | | Marks; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Carol Marks is survived by her daughter, Paula | 17 | | (Tom) Carach; her sons, Fred Marks, Marty (Julie) Marks, and | 18 | | Harry (Barb) Marks; nine grandchildren; nine | 19 | | great-grandchildren; her brothers, Ron Heathcott and Dale | 20 | | (Susie) Heathcott; her uncle and aunt, Jim and Katie Davis; her |
