| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | 3 | | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Esther | 4 | | Isabelle Brazier, who passed away on March 19, 2022 at the age | 5 | | of 92; and
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Isabelle Brazier was born in Indianapolis, | 7 | | Indiana on March 24, 1929; she married Bishop Arthur M. | 8 | | Brazier, and he preceded her in death; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Isabelle Brazier was deeply committed to the | 10 | | Apostolic Church of God (ACOG) alongside her husband, Bishop | 11 | | Brazier; she played a vital role in many ministries of the | 12 | | church, including the ACOG choirs and the youth orchestra, all | 13 | | while raising her family and supporting her husband; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Isabelle Brazier will be remembered for being a | 15 | | devoted wife, a loving mother, grandmother, and | 16 | | great-grandmother, a caring friend, and a dedicated leader; | 17 | | and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Isabelle Brazier was the wife of Bishop Arthur M. | 19 | | Brazier and the mother of Lola LaFayette, Janice Dortch, | 20 | | Rosalyn Shepherd, and Dr. Byron T. Brazier; therefore, be it

| 1 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | 2 | | HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | 3 | | we mourn the passing of Esther Isabelle Brazier and extend our | 4 | | sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew | 5 | | and loved her; and be it further
| 6 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 7 | | presented to the family of Isabelle Brazier as an expression | 8 | | of our deepest sympathy.
