| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Barbara Ann Rous (nee Baier) of McHenry, | 4 | | who passed away on November 14, 2013; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Barbara Rous was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on | 6 | | September 26, 1948 to Gilbert and Elizabeth (nee Betty) Baier; | 7 | | she graduated from West Leyden High School and married Edward | 8 | | Rous on October 25, 1969 at St. Gertrude Parish in Franklin | 9 | | Park; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Barbara Rous served as a union liaison and drove | 11 | | school buses for school districts 15 and 156, retiring in 2008; | 12 | | and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Barbara Rous was very active with St. Patrick | 14 | | Church in McHenry; she served on St. Patrick's Ladies Guild and | 15 | | volunteered for the PADS program; she drove seniors to doctor | 16 | | appointments and distributed food through the Northern | 17 | | Illinois Food Bank; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Barbara Rous enjoyed traveling with her husband, | 19 | | going to casinos, country line dancing, and spending the | 20 | | weekends scouring the local garage sales; and |

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Barbara Rous was preceded in death by her mother; | 2 | | her sister-in-law, Barbara Lehmann; and dear aunts, uncles, | 3 | | cousins, and a nephew; and
| 4 | | WHEREAS, Barbara Rous is survived by her father; her | 5 | | husband of 44 years, Edward; her children, Brian, Jamie (John) | 6 | | Sarff, and Carrie (Michael) McClellan; her grandchildren, Lee | 7 | | and Samantha; her brothers, Gilbert (Jan), Robin (Susan), and | 8 | | Daniel; and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
| 9 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | 10 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 11 | | Barbara Ann Rous, and extend our sincere condolences to her | 12 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | 13 | | further
| 14 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 15 | | presented to the family of Barbara Rous as an expression of our | 16 | | deepest sympathy.
