| SENATE RESOLUTION
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to express | 3 |
| their sincere condolences to the family and friends of Corporal | 4 |
| Ryan James Buckley of Oak Grove, Kentucky, formerly of | 5 |
| Hillsboro, who passed away on June 23, 2006, in Iraq; and
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, He was born on April 22, 1985, in Springfield; he | 7 |
| was a 2003 graduate of Hillsboro High School; he was united in | 8 |
| marriage on June 18, 2005, to the former Tina Davidson in | 9 |
| Litchfield; he joined the United States Army in March of 2004; | 10 |
| and
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, He completed basic training at Ft. Benning, | 12 |
| Georgia, and was stationed at Ft. Campbell, Kentucky; he was a | 13 |
| gunner in the U.S. Army and was part of the 2nd Battalion, | 14 |
| 506th Infantry Regiment; and
| 15 |
| WHEREAS, He was deployed to Iraq on November 27, 2005; he | 16 |
| was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and the Global | 17 |
| War on Terrorism Medal; and
| 18 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Ryan James Buckley has been deeply | 19 |
| felt by many, especially by his wife, Tina; his mother and | 20 |
| step-father, Sally and Russell Nation; his father, Dennis | 21 |
| Buckley; his brother, Cody Buckley; his step-brother, Aaron | 22 |
| Nation; his step-sisters, Danielle Nation and Liz Cook; and his | 23 |
| paternal grandparents, Howard and Joan Buckley; he was preceded | 24 |
| in death by his maternal grandparents, Kurt and Louise | 25 |
| Schappart; therefore, be it

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL | 27 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 28 |
| Ryan James Buckley, and we extend our sincere condolences to | 29 |
| his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 30 |
| further

| RESOLVED, That we honor the memory of Corporal Buckley and | 2 |
| his willingness to serve our country, which led to him making | 3 |
| the ultimate sacrifice; and be it further
| 4 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 5 |
| presented to his family as an expression of our sincerest | 6 |
| condolences.
