| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Theodore G. Porter of Crystal Lake, who | 4 | | passed away on July 25, 2017; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Theodore Porter was born in West Des Moines, Iowa | 6 | | to Raymond and Nellie (Hartshorn) Porter on July 28, 1940; he | 7 | | served in the United States Air Force and graduated from Drake | 8 | | University; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Theodore Porter was a successful business owner, | 10 | | with his own CPA firm in the Schaumburg area; and | 11 | | WHEREAS, Theodore Porter was a wonderful husband, father, | 12 | | "papa", brother, and uncle; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Theodore Porter enjoyed driving his tractor, | 14 | | gardening, reading, crossword puzzles, and was a collector of | 15 | | many things; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Theodore Porter was preceded in death by his | 17 | | parents; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Theodore Porter is survived by his wife of 52 | 19 | | years, Melanie (Zittnan) Porter; his daughters, Alicia |
