| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Robert "Bob" Paulson of Crystal Lake, who | 4 | | passed away on December 23, 2013; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Robert Paulson was born on October 1, 1921 in | 6 | | Minneapolis, Minnesota to Edwin and Ellen (nee Carlson) | 7 | | Paulson; he entered the United States Army at age 15 and was | 8 | | discharged just before World War II; he re-enlisted in the Army | 9 | | during the war and was a member of the 101st Airborne | 10 | | "Screaming Eagles"; he married Gladys Johnson on March 6, 1944; | 11 | | and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Following the war, he graduated from the | 13 | | California Plastic Institute and returned to Chicago to open a | 14 | | specialty plastic manufacturing company; he also owned and | 15 | | operated Perimeter Heating and Ventilating in Grayslake from | 16 | | 1953 to 1974 and Cur-Ric Petroleum and Gas Corporation in | 17 | | Muskogee, Oklahoma; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Robert Paulson was an inventor and holds 3 product | 19 | | patents; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Robert Paulson was preceded in death by his | 21 | | parents; his 2 sisters; his brother; and his granddaughter; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Robert Paulson is survived by his wife of 69 | 2 | | years, Gladys; his sons, Curtis (Maureen) Paulson and Richard | 3 | | (Robin) Paulson; his grandchildren, Robert (Emily) Paulson, | 4 | | II, Jeffrey (Becky) Paulson, Erica (Rob) Zarnstorff, and Nicole | 5 | | (Edwin) Chalira; his great-grandchildren, Lily and Brody | 6 | | Paulson, Easton Paulson, Madelynne and Clara Zarnstorff, and | 7 | | Tadala Chalira; his sister, Beatrice Reiter; and his brother, | 8 | | Edwin Paulson; therefore, be it
| 9 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | 10 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 11 | | Robert "Bob" Paulson, and extend our sincere condolences to his | 12 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 13 | | further
