| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Jack Otto Snyder of Bloomington, who | 4 | | passed away on October 31, 2019; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Jack Snyder was born in Swayze, Indiana to Vera | 6 | | Ruth Kemmer and Ralph Snyder on March 8, 1929; he married Jean | 7 | | Whitmer; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Jack Snyder is known for having developed over 20% | 9 | | of the land in the Bloomington-Normal area; he also had | 10 | | developments in Champaign, Springfield, Peoria, and Pontiac; | 11 | | in addition, he had projects in Longboat Key and Englewood, | 12 | | Florida; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Jack Snyder never knew a stranger and would always | 14 | | greet people with a smile and a twinkle in his eye; even in his | 15 | | final days, he still had that smile and twinkle; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Jack Snyder was proceeded in death by his parents; | 17 | | his brother, Richard; and his son, Craig; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Jack Snyder is survived by his wife of over 70 | 19 | | years, Jean; his daughters, Susan Chaney (Bill) and Vicki Eide | 20 | | (Roger); his son, Stephen Snyder (Nancy); nine grandchildren; |

| 2 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | 3 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 4 | | Jack Otto Snyder and extend our sincere condolences to his | 5 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 6 | | further
| 7 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 8 | | presented to the family of Jack Snyder as an expression of our | 9 | | deepest sympathy.
