| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of William Edward Tegtmeier of Crystal Lake, | 4 | | who passed away on January 11, 2014; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, William Tegtmeier was born on October 23, 1924 in | 6 | | Crystal Lake; his parents were Charles and Bertha Tegtmeier; he | 7 | | married Shirley Ann Pletz on August 10, 1946 in McHenry; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, William Tegtmeier proudly served his country as a | 9 | | sergeant in the United States Marine Corps' 1st Division, | 10 | | receiving a Purple Heart for his service in the South Pacific; | 11 | | and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, William Tegtmeier was a member of the Operating | 13 | | Engineers Local 150 union; he worked for Peter Baker and Sons | 14 | | for 30 years; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, William Tegtmeier was preceded in death by his | 16 | | wife of 66 years, Shirley; his daughter, Georgia Lee; his | 17 | | parents; his sister, Alice Ragona; and his brother, Fred | 18 | | Tegtmeier; and
