| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | 3 | | to learn of the death of Franklin "Frank" D. Ellis of Colona, | 4 | | formerly of Bettendorf, Iowa and Pleasant Valley, Iowa, who | 5 | | passed away on February 10, 2022; and
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Frank Ellis was born to Charles and Allie | 7 | | (Spruill) Ellis in Osceola, Arkansas on November 9, 1932; he | 8 | | proudly served in the U. S. Navy during the Korean War;
he | 9 | | married Wanda Williams in Davenport on June 27, 1952; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Frank Ellis owned and operated Modular | 11 | | Engineering and E, E & E Industries; as a tool and die | 12 | | engineer, he also provided services for Deere & Company, | 13 | | Caterpillar, Sears Manufacturing, and numerous other | 14 | | companies; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Frank Ellis was a fascinating storyteller and | 16 | | captivated his friends and family with tales of his lifelong | 17 | | experiences; he was deeply committed to his faith and will be | 18 | | remembered for his love of family and his humble nature; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Frank Ellis was preceded in death by his parents; | 20 | | his son, Randy Ellis; and his siblings, Lucille, Mary, Leon, | 21 | | Charles, Jim, Beuford, Billy, and Roy; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Frank Ellis is survived by his wife of 69 years, | 2 | | Wanda; his son, Franklin Ellis; his daughter, Barbara (Ron) | 3 | | Minnick; his grandchildren, Justin, Brittany, Joseph, and | 4 | | Zachary; his great-grandchildren, Kadyn and Kyrine; and his | 5 | | daughter-in-law, Katrina Bratton-Ellis; therefore, be it
| 6 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | 7 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
| 8 | | Franklin "Frank" D. Ellis and extend our sincere
condolences | 9 | | to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved
him; and be | 10 | | it further
| 11 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
