| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Francis G. Bloomer of Silvis, who passed | 4 | | away on August 14, 2017; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Francis Bloomer was born in Hampton to Edwin and | 6 | | Selma Hoffstetter Bloomer; he married Helen Bailey in Palmyra, | 7 | | Missouri on January 13, 1948; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Francis Bloomer served in the United States Army | 9 | | during World War II; after 40 years as a tool grinder, he | 10 | | retired from Case IH, International Harvester and Farmall | 11 | | Merchandise; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Francis Bloomer enjoyed woodworking, flowers, and | 13 | | gardening; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Francis Bloomer was preceded in death by his | 15 | | parents; his seven brothers; his two sisters; and his sons, | 16 | | Michael and Richard Bloomer; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Francis Bloomer is survived by his wife; his | 18 | | children, Patricia Bloomer, Diana (Bryan) Stone, Donna (Dan) | 19 | | Glynn, and Christopher Bloomer; his seven grandchildren; and | 20 | | his 17 great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
