| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | 3 | | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Ethan | 4 | | McGinnis Seitzer of Chicago, who passed away on August 16, | 5 | | 2010 at the age of 9; and
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Ethan Seitzer was born to Janet Smith and Jeffrey | 7 | | "Jeff" Seitzer in Chicago on September 3, 2000; he attended | 8 | | Northside Catholic Academy, where he was honored with the | 9 | | class reading award in third grade; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Ethan Seitzer was a voracious reader, with his | 11 | | interests ranging from ancient Greek mythology to Egyptology | 12 | | and hieroglyphics; at the time of his passing, his favorite | 13 | | book was The Red Pyramid by Rick Riordan, the first in a series | 14 | | of fictional adventure and fantasy books based on Egyptian | 15 | | mythology; he also wrote poetry; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Ethan Seitzer adored classical music and | 17 | | Beethoven, and he played and wrote compositions for the piano; | 18 | | and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Ethan Seitzer's interests also included cartoons, | 20 | | Legos, and creating obscure memory games with his friend, | 21 | | Augie; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Ethan Seitzer will be remembered for his loving | 2 | | nature, maturity, intelligence, and fighting spirit; and
| 3 | | WHEREAS, At the time of his passing, Ethan Seitzer was | 4 | | survived by his parents and his sister, Penelope; therefore, | 5 | | be it
| 6 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | 7 | | HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | 8 | | we mourn the passing of Ethan McGinnis Seitzer and extend our | 9 | | sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew | 10 | | and loved him; and be it further
| 11 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 12 | | presented to the family of Ethan Seitzer as an expression of | 13 | | our deepest sympathy.
