| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Raymond C. Poczkalski of Sunnyside, who | 4 | | passed away on August 9, 2015; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Raymond Poczkalski was born in Chicago on October | 6 | | 6, 1928 to Joseph and Helen (nee Piastowski) Poczkalski; he | 7 | | served in the United States Army during the Korean War and | 8 | | married Frances M. Fricano on September 26, 1953; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Raymond Poczkalski worked in Chicago in the | 10 | | silkscreening industry for over 30 years; he was then employed | 11 | | for 10 years as the head custodian for the James C. Bush | 12 | | Elementary School in Johnsburg, retiring in 1982; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Raymond Poczkalski was an avid golfer and | 14 | | fisherman and enjoyed spending time with his family at their | 15 | | second home in Portage, Wisconsin; he was a member of St. John | 16 | | the Baptist Catholic Church in Johnsburg; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Raymond Poczkalski was preceded in death by his | 18 | | parents; his wife, Frances; his son, Joseph Poczkalski; and 3 | 19 | | sisters and a brother; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Raymond Poczkalski is survived by his children, |
