| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Joseph J. "Joe" Krol of Silvis, who | 4 | | passed away on January 5, 2020; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Joe Krol was born in Moline to Stanley and | 6 | | Konstansia (Olender) Krol on May 1, 1928; he served in the U.S. | 7 | | Navy and the Navy Reserve; he married Sally Owens in East St. | 8 | | Louis on June 14, 1952; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Joe Krol retired in the late 1980s after 35 years | 10 | | with the former International Harvester Works in East Moline; | 11 | | and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Joe Krol was a member of UAW Local 1356, where he | 13 | | served as union officer and safety committeeman; he was a | 14 | | member of East Moline American Legion Post 227 and Our Lady of | 15 | | Guadalupe Catholic Church in Silvis; he was an avid hunter; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Joe Krol was preceded in death by his wife, Sally; | 17 | | his parents; and his siblings, Victor, Stanley, Antoinette, and | 18 | | Mayme; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Joe Krol is survived by his children, Michele | 20 | | (Gil) Gibson, Jolene (Dan) Kannenberg, and Kevin (Angie) Krol; |

| 1 | | his grandchildren, Sarah (Dave) Fritch, Joshua Gibson, Julie | 2 | | (Brett) Utz, Jenna (Juan) Aguilera, and Haley Krol; his | 3 | | great-grandchildren, Jack, James, Johnathan, Chloe, Wyatt, and | 4 | | Lucy; his sister-in-law, Mary Krol; and numerous nieces and | 5 | | nephews; therefore, be it
| 6 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | 7 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 8 | | Joseph J. "Joe" Krol and extend our sincere condolences to his | 9 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 10 | | further
| 11 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 12 | | presented to the family of Joe Krol as an expression of our | 13 | | deepest sympathy.
