| 1 | | SENATE RESOLUTION | 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | 3 | | to learn of the death of Arlon Lee "Bant" Anderson of Moline, | 4 | | who passed away on April 22, 2024; and | 5 | | WHEREAS, Bant Anderson, the son of Tompie and Minnie | 6 | | (Vickery) Anderson, was born in Quincy, Mississippi on | 7 | | February 28, 1932; he served in the U.S. Army for two years, | 8 | | spending one year in Germany; and | 9 | | WHEREAS, Bant Anderson worked at John Deere for over 30 | 10 | | years, retiring in 1989; and | 11 | | WHEREAS, Bant Anderson enjoyed golfing and spending | 12 | | winters in Florida; above all else, he loved his family, | 13 | | especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and | 14 | | WHEREAS, Bant Anderson was preceded in death by his | 15 | | parents; his stepson, Michael Golden; his granddaughter, Lori | 16 | | Luna; and 10 siblings; and | 17 | | WHEREAS, Bant Anderson is survived by his children, | 18 | | Carolyn (John) Perez, Deb (Jack) Slater, and Bruce Golden; his | 19 | | grandchildren, Tedgie (T.C. Christopher) Wright-Christopher, | 20 | | Jonathan (Ellie) Perez, Jeffrey (Emma) Perez, Allen (Kate) |
