| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 |
| learn of the death of
Judith Spangler of Carlinville, who | 4 |
| passed away on November 30, 2008; and
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Judith Spangler was born on April 2, 1946 in | 6 |
| Carlinville; she was the daughter of Harvey and Phyllis Maguire | 7 |
| Gross; she married Terry L. Spangler on September 27, 1967 in | 8 |
| Carlinville; and
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, Judith Spangler graduated from Carlinville High | 10 |
| School in 1964 and from a business school in St. Louis, | 11 |
| Missouri; and
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, Judith Spangler was a bookkeeper for Curry Office | 13 |
| Supply and had previously worked for Valley Steel for 28 years, | 14 |
| Lippold & Arnett, and Hog, Incorporated; and
| 15 |
| WHEREAS, Judith Spangler was very active in the St. Paul's | 16 |
| United Church of Christ, serving on the church council and | 17 |
| Christian Education Committee and teaching Sunday school; and
| 18 |
| WHEREAS, Judith Spangler enjoyed spending time with her | 19 |
| grandchildren; and |

| WHEREAS, Judith Spangler was preceded in death by her | 2 |
| parents; and
| 3 |
| WHEREAS, Judith Spangler is survived by her husband, Terry; | 4 |
| her son, Britt Spangler; her daughter and son-in-law, Betsey | 5 |
| and Chris Rogers; her grandchildren, Caleb Spangler, Collin | 6 |
| Spangler, Madalyn Rogers, and Maxwell Rogers; her sister, | 7 |
| Dorothy Schreiber; and her several nieces and nephews; | 8 |
| therefore, be it

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL | 10 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | 11 |
| her family and friends, the passing of Judith Spangler; and be | 12 |
| it further
| 13 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 14 |
| presented to the family of Judith Spangler as an expression of | 15 |
| our sympathy.
