| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Edward Stanley Wodnicki of Chicago, who | 4 | | passed away on December 12, 2019; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Edward Wodnicki was born in Chicago to Stanislaw | 6 | | and Ludwika Wodnicki on February 24, 1934; he served in the | 7 | | U.S. Marine Corps and was a Korean War veteran; he married Joan | 8 | | L. Johnson on October 24, 1956 in Chicago; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Edward Wodnicki was the retired Deputy | 10 | | Superintendent of the Chicago Police Department and Executive | 11 | | Director of the Cook County Sheriff's Department; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Edward Wodnicki was preceded in death by his wife, | 13 | | Joan L. Wodnicki, and his siblings, Joseph, Helen, and Estella; | 14 | | and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Edward Wodnicki is survived by his children, | 16 | | Edward Michael (Nicole) Wodnicki, Susan Tomaselli, and Debbie | 17 | | (Angelo) Ranieri; and his grandchildren, Rachael "Ree", | 18 | | Brandon, Jake, Alyssa, and Sara; therefore, be it
