| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Jeannine S. Triebel of Peoria, who passed | 4 | | away on July 1, 2017; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Jeannine Triebel was born in Decatur to Rodney E. | 6 | | and Marjorie (Wilkinson) Spangler on August 8, 1929; she | 7 | | graduated from DePauw University in 1951, where she was a | 8 | | member of the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority; she married Russell | 9 | | Field Triebel in Decatur on May 31, 1952; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Jeannine Triebel taught elementary school in El | 11 | | Paso, Texas for two years while her husband served in the | 12 | | United States Army at Fort Bliss; after her children left for | 13 | | college, she enjoyed working at the Junction City Book Shop; | 14 | | and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Jeannine Triebel was active in the Peoria | 16 | | community; she served on the board of directors for the YWCA | 17 | | and the Children's Home Association of Illinois; she was a | 18 | | member of the Junior League of Peoria for many years, where she | 19 | | was honored as Volunteer of the Year in 1970; she was an | 20 | | active, longtime member of First Federated Church in Peoria, | 21 | | where her son served as the associate minister for eight years; | 22 | | she enjoyed tennis, golf, dinner parties, and bridge with her |

| 2 | | WHEREAS, Jeannine Triebel was preceded in death by her son, | 3 | | Thomas Field Triebel; her sister, Sandra Spangler Gannett; and | 4 | | her parents; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Jeannine Triebel is survived by her daughter, | 6 | | Deborah Field Triebel; her brother, Rodney (Becky) Spangler; | 7 | | her daughter-in-law, Karen (John) Calder; her granddaughters, | 8 | | Megan (Michael) Stoll, Melissa (James) Bello, and Margaret | 9 | | Triebel; and her great-grandchildren, Thomas, Jack and Oliver | 10 | | Stoll, and Dominic and Elise Bello; therefore, be it
| 11 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | 12 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 13 | | Jeannine S. Triebel, and extend our sincere condolences to her | 14 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | 15 | | further
