| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | 3 | | to learn of the death of Marjorie Elizabeth "Marge" Paulson of | 4 | | Peoria, who passed away on April 20, 2022; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Marge Paulson was born to Walter and Elizabeth | 6 | | (Oberlander) Gerber in Fort Wayne, Indiana on November 26, | 7 | | 1943; she graduated from Methodist School of Nursing in June | 8 | | of 1965; she married Gary Paulson in Morton on April 3, 1966; | 9 | | she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Sangamon | 10 | | State University in May of 1991; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Marge Paulson worked as a nurse for the Peoria | 12 | | State Hospital, Methodist Hospital, Keystone, Eureka Hospital, | 13 | | and lastly the American Red Cross, from which she retired in | 14 | | 2007; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Marge Paulson volunteered and served on the board | 16 | | for the Junior League of Peoria and the Salvation Army Women's | 17 | | Auxiliary;
she was a lifetime member of Grace Presbyterian | 18 | | Church, where she served in a number of different roles; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Marge Paulson was preceded in death by her | 20 | | husband; her parents; and her brother, Glenn Gerber; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Marge Paulson is survived by her three children, | 2 | | Andy (Jen) Paulson, Julie (Bill Smith) Paulson, and Kevin | 3 | | (Melissa) Paulson, and her four grandchildren, Baylen Paulson, | 4 | | Callie Paulson, Kahler Paulson, and Archie Paulson; therefore, | 5 | | be it
| 6 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | 7 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
| 8 | | Marjorie Elizabeth "Marge" Paulson and extend our sincere
| 9 | | condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved
| 10 | | her; and be it further
| 11 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
| 12 | | presented to the family of Marge Paulson as an expression of
| 13 | | our deepest sympathy.
