| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | 3 | | to learn of the death of Kent D. Dusch of Rock Island, who | 4 | | passed away on April 11, 2022; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Kent Dusch was born to Kenneth and Edythe | 6 | | (Stella) Dusch in Peru on July 31, 1946; he graduated from | 7 | | United Township High School in 1964; he served in the U.S. | 8 | | Army, with service in Korea; he married Brenda Y. Lovell in | 9 | | East Moline in 1971; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Kent Dusch was employed at Blackhawk Foundry & | 11 | | Machine Company in Davenport, Iowa for over 40 years; he | 12 | | retired from the company's board of directors in 2005; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Kent Dusch was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic | 14 | | Church in Milan and Milan American Legion Post 569; he coached | 15 | | Milan little and senior leagues and Milan Legion baseball | 16 | | teams for many years; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Kent Dusch loved sports and was an avid Bears, | 18 | | Cardinals, and Illini fan; he also enjoyed fishing, traveling, | 19 | | and golfing, and he scored a hole in one on hole #4 at the | 20 | | Highland Springs Golf Course in 2018; he loved spending time | 21 | | with his family, whom he cherished, especially his |

| 2 | | WHEREAS, Kent Dusch was preceded in death by his parents; | 3 | | his brother, Donald Kidd; his sister, Carol Hoefle; and his | 4 | | great-granddaughter, Jersey Dietrich; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Kent Dusch is survived by his wife, Brenda; his | 6 | | sons, Bryan (Erin) Dusch and Gregory (Jessica Wasson) Dusch; | 7 | | his grandchildren, Allison (Devin) Dietrich, Abbie Dusch, | 8 | | Darian Hebel, Jacob Angell, Connor (fiancée, Jocee Bloyer) | 9 | | Dusch, Hailee Wasson, and Aaron Dusch; his nephew, Scott | 10 | | Dobereiner; and his brother-in-law, Fred Hoefle; therefore, be | 11 | | it
| 12 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | 13 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 14 | | Kent D. Dusch and extend our sincere condolences to his | 15 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 16 | | further
