1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of
3 Illinois were saddened to learn of the death of Jean Ann
4 (Rasmusen) Oleson of Yorkville on February 21, 2003; and
5 WHEREAS, Mrs. Oleson was born September 15, 1937 to
6 Chester and Alice (Whiteis) Rasmusen; she married Clifford A.
7 Oleson Sr. on January 5, 1957 in Millington; and
8 WHEREAS, Mrs. Oleson was the current President of the
9 Yorkville American Legion Auxiliary, Vice President of the
10 12th District American Legion Auxiliary, and Chairperson of
11 the Yorkville American Legion Bingo Committee; and
12 WHEREAS, Mrs. Oleson had worked at Western Electric and
13 S&S Store in Sandwich; she was a cook at Yorkville High
14 School and Yorkville American Legion; and most recently she
15 worked at Hoadley's Hallmark in Yorkville; and
16 WHEREAS, Mrs. Oleson loved hot air ballooning and
17 traveling to Albuquerque for Balloon Fiesta; she also enjoyed
18 Bingo and treated all her Bingo patrons as family; and
19 WHEREAS, Mr. Oleson's passing will be deeply felt by
20 many, especially her husband, Clifford A. Oleson Sr.; her
21 children, Clifford A. (Linda) Oleson Jr., Marie Oleson-Helm,
22 Nancy (Todd) Glover, Jane (Kevin) Kubisak, and Scott (Tammy)
23 Oleson; her eight grandchildren, Karic (Katrina) Glover, Mary
24 Ellen, Chris, Eric Oleson, Aaron Kubisak, Mackenzie Oleson,
25 Mikey Maxwell, and Toni Storey; her two great-grandchildren,
26 Kamon and Raevon Glover; her aunt and uncle; and her several
27 cousins as well as her Bingo and Legion families; and
28 WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her parents;
29 therefore, be it
30 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL

1 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the death of
2 Jean Ann (Rasmusen) Oleson along with all who knew and loved
3 her and extend our sincere condolences to her family,
4 friends, and community; and be it further
5 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
6 presented to the family of Jean Ann (Rasmusen) Oleson.
