| 1 | | SENATE RESOLUTION | 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | 3 | | to learn of the death of Patricia Ann "Pat" Graves of | 4 | | Springfield, who passed away on May 6, 2024; and | 5 | | WHEREAS, Pat Graves was born to Paul and Nancy Mallady in | 6 | | Mattoon on August 11, 1947; she grew up in Arcola and moved to | 7 | | Springfield, where she married Gary Graves at Clear Lake | 8 | | Church of Christ in Springfield on August 31, 1968; and | 9 | | WHEREAS, Pat Graves worked for the State of Illinois for | 10 | | more than 35 years, retiring in 2002; and | 11 | | WHEREAS, Pat Graves was a member of Westside Christian | 12 | | Church, where she enjoyed being a part of the church choir and | 13 | | attending TNT Sunday school; she loved her family dearly and | 14 | | was deeply committed to her faith; and | 15 | | WHEREAS, Pat Graves was preceded in death by her parents | 16 | | and her brother, Jerry Mallady; and | 17 | | WHEREAS, Pat Graves is survived by her husband; her | 18 | | daughters, Dawn (John) Hauer and Jennifer Graves (Brian | 19 | | Sissel); her grandchildren, Zachary Graves (fiancée, Hannah), | 20 | | Jonathon (Taylor) Hauer, Laura Hauer, Lindsey (Bailey) Swift, |

| 1 | | and Alexa Joseph; her great-grandchildren, Kai Graves, Mason | 2 | | Hauer, and Hudson Hauer; her sister, Beverly (Dan) Bell; her | 3 | | brother, Michael Mallady; and several nieces and nephews; | 4 | | therefore, be it | 5 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL | 6 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 7 | | Patricia Ann "Pat" Graves and extend our sincere condolences | 8 | | to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be | 9 | | it further | 10 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 11 | | presented to the family of Pat Graves as an expression of our | 12 | | deepest sympathy. |
