| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | 3 | | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Eugene A. | 4 | | "Gene" Forgatch of West Frankfort, who passed away on February | 5 | | 9, 2016; and
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Eugene Forgatch was born in West Frankfort to | 7 | | Andrew and Geneva (nee Falkovit) Forgatch on January 29, 1929; | 8 | | he graduated from Frankfort Community High School in 1948 and | 9 | | served in the United States Army in Inchon, Korea in 1950 and | 10 | | in Japan from 1951 to 1953; he married Sue Ann Little on April | 11 | | 12, 1951; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Eugene Forgatch's passions were his family, his | 13 | | business, and fishing; he built his business in his | 14 | | grandmother's old grocery store building in 1955; in 2004, he | 15 | | built his new building for expansion of Dixie Creme Donuts and | 16 | | Deli; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Eugene Forgatch was awarded Business Man of the | 18 | | Year by the West Frankfort Chamber of Commerce in 2004; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Eugene Forgatch was preceded in death by his | 20 | | parents; his son, Jon T. Forgatch; and his sister, June Lyter; | 21 | | and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Eugene Forgatch is survived by his wife, Sue Ann; | 2 | | his children, Stephen A. Forgatch, Beth Forgatch Conner and | 3 | | husband, Rick, Todd E. Forgatch and wife, Ngoc Anh Le, Amy | 4 | | Forgatch Siefert and husband, Steve, and Jay S. Forgatch and | 5 | | wife, Monica; and his grandchildren, Adam Conner, Sydney | 6 | | Forgatch, Sean Forgatch, Katie Hefner, Bricen Forgatch. | 7 | | Anthony Forgatch, Faydreth Forgatch, and Asher Forgatch; | 8 | | therefore, be it
| 9 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | 10 | | NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | 11 | | mourn the passing of Eugene A. "Gene" Forgatch, and extend our | 12 | | sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew | 13 | | and loved him; and be it further
