| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Doris Kay Weidner of McHenry, who passed | 4 | | away on March 12, 2014; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Doris Weidner was born on October 16, 1943 in | 6 | | Chicago; her parents were Walter and Ingrid Peterson; she | 7 | | married her first husband, David Johnson, in 1966; he passed | 8 | | away in 1967; she married Ronald Weidner in August of 1978 at | 9 | | St. Peter Church in Volo; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, As a child, Doris Weidner moved with her family | 11 | | from Chicago to Island Lake, graduating from Wauconda High | 12 | | School in 1961; she lived much of her life in the Wauconda | 13 | | area; following her first husband's death, she worked and | 14 | | raised her son in Wauconda with the support of her family and | 15 | | friends; after marrying her second husband, they lived on their | 16 | | farm off Gilmer Road until moving to McHenry in 2008; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Doris Weidner was an active member of the Wauconda | 18 | | Township Historical Society, the Wauconda Women's Club, Women | 19 | | in Government Service, and numerous other professional and | 20 | | political organizations; and
| 21 | | WHEREAS, Doris Weidner was a faithful employee of the |

| 1 | | Wauconda Township Assessor's Office, finally retiring in 2006 | 2 | | after serving 17 years as Assessor; and
| 3 | | WHEREAS, Doris Weidner was preceded in death by her | 4 | | parents; her sister, Susan L. Bole; her first husband, David | 5 | | Johnson; and her beloved giant schnauzers, Heide and Libby; and | 6 | | WHEREAS, Doris Weidner is survived by her husband of 36 | 7 | | years, Ronald Weidner; her son, Lance, and his wife; her 2 | 8 | | grandchildren; her brother, Russell (Judy) Peterson; her | 9 | | sister-in-law, Janet (Erich) Schmidbauer; her brothers-in-law, | 10 | | Jim (Linda) Weidner, Larry Weidner, Robert Weidner, and Lester | 11 | | Cednick; and her many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
| 12 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | 13 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her | 14 | | family and friends, mourn the passing of Doris Kay Weidner; and | 15 | | be it further
| 16 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 17 | | presented to the family of Doris Weidner as an expression of | 18 | | our sympathy.
