| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Mildred Postich of Delavan, Wisconsin, | 4 | | formerly of Waukegan, who passed away on November 23, 2012; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Mildred Postich was born in Yugoslavia; at the age | 6 | | of 18, she immigrated to the United States; and
| 7 | | WHEREAS, Mildred Postich met her future husband, Fred | 8 | | Postich, in Gary, Indiana; the couple married in 1938 and moved | 9 | | to North Chicago, where they built a home and had 5 children; | 10 | | she stayed home raising the children, while Fred worked nearly | 11 | | around the clock to provide for the family; the couple later | 12 | | built their second home in Waukegan; following her husband's | 13 | | passing in 1986, she continued to live with her son, Steve | 14 | | (Sia); after Steve's passing in 2001, she sold her home and | 15 | | went to live with her daughter, Judi, in Delavan, Wisconsin; | 16 | | and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Mildred Postich enjoyed teaching Serbian words, | 18 | | watching game shows, and especially watching wrestling | 19 | | together with Bill, her daughter's companion; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Mildred Postich was preceded in death by her | 21 | | husband, Fred; her son, Steve (Sia); her brother, Mike |

| 1 | | Romcevich; and her parents; and
| 2 | | WHEREAS, Mildred Postich is survived by her children, Mary | 3 | | Ann Cavener, Mike Postich, Judi Lampinen, and Sam Postich; her | 4 | | sister, Mary Stack; her nieces and nephews; her 2 | 5 | | sisters-in-law, her many grandchildren and | 6 | | great-grandchildren; and her great-great-grandchild; | 7 | | therefore, be it
| 8 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL | 9 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | 10 | | his family and friends, the passing of Mildred Postich; and be | 11 | | it further
| 12 | | RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be | 13 | | presented to the family of Mildred Postich as an expression of | 14 | | our sympathy.
