| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Walter "Bud" Barber of Richmond, who | 4 | | passed away on March 5, 2014; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Walter Barber was born on October 25, 1929 in | 6 | | Woodstock; his parents were George and Martha (nee Fink) | 7 | | Barber; he married Audrey C. Aubert on October 21, 1950 in | 8 | | Richmond; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Walter Barber graduated from Richmond-Burton High | 10 | | School in 1949; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Walter Barber was employed as a dairy farmer | 12 | | throughout his life until his retirement in 1992; he was a | 13 | | member of the Wisconsin Dairies and the McHenry County Farm | 14 | | Bureau, where he served on the Board of Directors from 1990 to | 15 | | 1995; he was also a former member of the Richmond Fire/Rescue | 16 | | Department and a member of Community Church of Richmond; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Walter Barber enjoyed woodworking, dancing, | 18 | | bowling, delivering Meals on Wheels, and aviation; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Walter Barber was preceded in death by his wife, | 20 | | Audrey; his parents; and his sister, Frances Stinek; and |

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Walter Barber is survived by his daughter, Julie | 2 | | (Dan) Wenninger; his son, Rick (Cheryl) Barber; his | 3 | | grandchildren, Chris (Christina) Barber, Ashley Barber, and | 4 | | Brandon Barber; his great-grandchildren, Ava, Logan, and Leah | 5 | | Barber; his beloved friend, Mary Gosse; and his dogs, Smokey | 6 | | and Mittens; therefore, be it
| 7 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | 8 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his | 9 | | family and friends, mourn the passing of Walter "Bud" Barber; | 10 | | and be it further
| 11 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 12 | | presented to the family of Walter Barber as an expression of | 13 | | our sympathy.
