| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are deeply | 3 | | saddened to learn of the death of Andrew Bradie, Jr., who | 4 | | passed away on July 23, 2012; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Andrew Bradie, Jr. was born on May 15, 1929, to | 6 | | Andrew and Sarah Bradie in Memphis, Tennessee; he lived in Fort | 7 | | Wayne, Indiana, during his school years and eventually settled | 8 | | in Chicago; he married Mary L. Jackson; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Andrew Bradie, Jr. spent 55 years working in the | 10 | | parking industry; he began as an attendant and eventually found | 11 | | himself opening multiple parking facilities in the midwest and | 12 | | setting up systems to create more efficiently and smoothly | 13 | | operating parking facilities; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Andrew Bradie, Jr. would spend summers taking his | 15 | | family on vacations throughout the United States; he was a | 16 | | camera bug and would take pictures of everywhere they went; he | 17 | | liked camping, riding motorcycles, horses, grilling, and | 18 | | simonizing cars; he enjoyed long drives and short mystery | 19 | | novels; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Andrew Bradie, Jr. was preceded in death by his | 21 | | son, Keith; his brothers, Israel and Roy; and his |

| 1 | | great-grandchild, Johkye Chase Bradie; and
| 2 | | WHEREAS, Andrew Bradie, Jr. is survived by his wife of 63 | 3 | | years, Mary; his children, Dianne and Andrew III; his | 4 | | daughters-in-law, Diana and Sylvia; his sister, Sarah; his | 5 | | brother, Curvey; his brother-in-law, James McGee (Hazel); his | 6 | | grandchildren, Christopher Bradie, Ed.D, Nicole (Anton) | 7 | | Braton, Keith Bradie, Jr., and Tiffany (Lloyd) Gregoire Ramsey; | 8 | | his great-grandchildren, La'Sha Bradie and Jay Anthony Bradie; | 9 | | and many relatives and family friends; therefore, be it
| 10 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL | 11 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 12 | | Andrew Bradie, Jr. and we extend our sincere condolences to his | 13 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 14 | | further
