SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Margaret M. Tiritilli of Chicago, who passed away on May 20, 2024; and

WHEREAS, Margaret Tiritilli was born on July 24, 1953; and

WHEREAS, Margaret Tiritilli was a co-founder and the first president of the Greater Independence Park Neighborhood Association (GIPNA), an organization dedicated to maintaining and enhancing the quality of life in the Independence Park community by involving, informing, and encouraging people to participate in matters relating to the community and by protecting the historical, social, cultural, and architectural character of the neighborhood located on Chicago's Northwest Side; and

WHEREAS, Margaret Tiritilli was the wife of Jerry Tiritilli for 45 years, the mother of Lizzy (Chris) Tiritilli, the sister of Sue Lebak and Mike (Cindy) Lebak, and the aunt of Megan Williams and Josh Lebak; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Margaret M. Tiritilli and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Margaret Tiritilli as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
