| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Raymond G. Card of Waukegan, who passed | 4 | | away on March 24, 2014; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Raymond Card was born in Chicago on October 20, | 6 | | 1938 to Jesse and Lillian (nee Schultz) Card; he grew up on a | 7 | | farm in Lake County and graduated from Grayslake High School in | 8 | | 1957; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Raymond Card worked for Reed-Randle Ford and the | 10 | | Waukegan Regional Airport; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Raymond Card was a member of the Lake County | 12 | | Republican Federation's Board of Governors, and in 2013, he | 13 | | received their Lifetime Achievement award recognizing all he | 14 | | had done for the Republican Party; he was also the Republican | 15 | | Party's Waukegan Township Chairman and a precinct | 16 | | committeeman; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Raymond Card was preceded in death by his parents, | 18 | | and by his 8 brothers and sisters; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Raymond Card is survived by his children, Greg | 20 | | (Lisa) Card, Meg (David) Frey, Jeff Card, Nickie (Darrell) |

| 6 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | 7 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 8 | | Raymond G. Card, and extend our sincere condolences to his | 9 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 10 | | further
