| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Charles J. Baker of Silvis, who passed | 4 | | away on April 29, 2020; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Charles Baker was born to Charles E. and Vita | 6 | | Maria (Crocitto) Baker in Cedar Falls, Iowa on April 16, 1947; | 7 | | he served in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam War and was | 8 | | thrilled to go on the Honor Flight a few years ago; he married | 9 | | Kathleen White in Cedar Falls on July 27, 1974; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, After his time in the military, Charles Baker and | 11 | | his wife owned and operated a boarding/grooming service; his | 12 | | main career was racing horses for 21 years before going to work | 13 | | for Green Chevrolet selling cars; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Charles Baker enjoyed anything related to | 15 | | animals, gambling (particularly poker), and golfing; family | 16 | | was the most important thing to him, especially spending time | 17 | | with his grandchildren and watching their sporting events; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Charles Baker was preceded in death by his parents | 19 | | and his grandson, Jonathan Workman; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Charles Fulton is survived by his beloved wife, |

| 1 | | Kathy; his four daughters and sons-in-law, Tina Yarolem, | 2 | | Jennifer (Keith) Hooks, Breanna (Andrew) Allardyce, and Katie | 3 | | (Mike) Brooks; his ten grandchildren; his four | 4 | | great-grandchildren; his sisters and a brother-in-law, Jeanne | 5 | | Hammer and Joanne (Ray) Beninga; and his several nieces and | 6 | | nephews; therefore, be it
| 7 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | 8 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 9 | | Charles J. Baker and extend our sincere
condolences to his | 10 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved
him; and be it | 11 | | further
