| 2 | | WHEREAS, On May 24, 2014, Megan Maureen Korczynski and | 3 | | Kevin Paul Gow, Jr. will be united in holy matrimony; and
| 4 | | WHEREAS, Megan Maureen is the daughter of Diane M. and | 5 | | Edwin J. "SKI" Korczynski; and | 6 | | WHEREAS, Kevin is the son of Kevin Paul Gow, Sr. and the | 7 | | late Lynne Dwight Gow; and | 8 | | WHEREAS, The father of the bride, Edwin J. "SKI" | 9 | | Korczynski, is a precinct captain within the 33rd Ward | 10 | | organization and has been honored by the Illinois General | 11 | | Assembly, the United States Congress, and the Department of | 12 | | Defense for outstanding achievement as a Civilian Reserve Air | 13 | | Fleet (CRAF)/Military Air Lift Command (MAC) America West | 14 | | Boeing 747 Pilot, flying 25 sorties during Operation Desert | 15 | | Shield/Desert Storm; and | 16 | | WHEREAS, The bride and groom share more than their love, | 17 | | hope, and happiness: both of their fathers are veterans and | 18 | | distinguished members of the United States Marine Corps, | 19 | | meaning that dedication, loyalty, and integrity - qualities | 20 | | that are truly necessary to a successful marriage - are part of | 21 | | their upbringing; and |

| 1 | | WHEREAS, As their wedding date approaches, the happy couple | 2 | | is filled with joyful anticipation, which is enhanced by the | 3 | | knowledge that their friends and families share their joy; and | 4 | | WHEREAS, Megan Maureen reflects fondly upon her years | 5 | | living and working in Chicago and receiving her bachelor degree | 6 | | in Fine Arts in Interior Design from the Chicago International | 7 | | Academy of Design and Technology; and | 8 | | WHEREAS, Megan Maureen, as a commercial designer | 9 | | associated with a Lake Forest leader in commercial design, has | 10 | | attained great praise from her peer group for her advanced | 11 | | skills in the unique computer-aided design (CAD) which assists | 12 | | in creation, modification, analysis, and optimization of | 13 | | design, as well as a high level of success within her field of | 14 | | design evidenced by her redesigning, in part, the offices of | 15 | | Cook County to the Milwaukee, Wisconsin airport; and | 16 | | WHEREAS, Kevin Paul Gow, Jr., an elementary school teacher | 17 | | from Buffalo Grove, has received high praise from his superiors | 18 | | and parents for his innovated educational methods and even | 19 | | greater praise for his selfless time devoted to his volunteer | 20 | | efforts as a basketball and track and field coach with decisive | 21 | | wins to his credit; and |

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Megan Maureen has acted as a volunteer for St. | 2 | | Vincent DePaul Food pantry in Lake Zurich, not only | 3 | | distributing food to those in need but extending compassion and | 4 | | understanding as well; and | 5 | | WHEREAS, Kevin P. Gow, Jr. shares Megan Maureen's joy and | 6 | | jubilation and fondly reflects upon living and working in | 7 | | Chicago and receiving his master's degree from DePaul | 8 | | University; and | 9 | | WHEREAS, Father of the groom, Kevin Sr., a former captain | 10 | | in the United States Marine Corps, and the late Lynne Dwight | 11 | | Gow, take great pride knowing that their care and parenthood | 12 | | examples provided Kevin with the intestinal fortitude and | 13 | | knowledge necessary to stand as a "Top Gun" husband, father, | 14 | | and companion; and | 15 | | WHEREAS, Edwin J. "SKI", father of the bride, active member | 16 | | with the rank of major in the United States Air Force/CAP, | 17 | | along with mother, Diane Marlene, a 25+ years elementary | 18 | | education teacher and certified counselor to the learning | 19 | | disabled and emotionally disturbed, stand proud knowing that | 20 | | their care, fine example, and training has imbued Megan with | 21 | | the qualities of great character, competence, vision, and | 22 | | drive; utilizing these given virtues they are confident that | 23 | | Megan Maureen has developed a positive, predictable |

| 1 | | environment where all are treated with respect and dignity | 2 | | which, no doubt, will provide Megan with great family and | 3 | | future parenting skills; and | 4 | | WHEREAS, The father of the bride, has put forth his best | 5 | | effort, throughout Megan's youth, to inform her that it is by | 6 | | no means enough that a new bride be a capable wife; she must be | 7 | | that, of course, but also a great deal more; she should be as | 8 | | well, a lady of liberal education, refined manner, caring, | 9 | | loving, filled with compassion as well as passion, and exhibit | 10 | | a keen sense of personal honor; she should be the soul of tact, | 11 | | patience, justice, firmness, and charity; in 2 words, every | 12 | | wife should keep before her the virtues of dignity and | 13 | | self-worth; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Edwin J. "SKI", father of the bride, has impressed | 15 | | upon Megan Maureen that the true test of character is not "just | 16 | | hanging in there" when you expect a light at the end of the | 17 | | tunnel, but performance of duty and persistence of example when | 18 | | one knows that no light is apparent; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Megan Maureen's virtues of tact, patience, | 20 | | justice, firmness, charity, and her positive, predictable | 21 | | environment where all are treated with respect and dignity will | 22 | | provide the many qualities needed as she walks the meandering | 23 | | path of matrimony; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Megan Maureen must be aware as she prepares for | 2 | | marriage and family that no meritorious act of her new family | 3 | | should escape her attention or be left to pass without its | 4 | | reward, even if the reward is only a word of approval; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Diane M., mother of the bride, imbued Megan | 6 | | Maureen with the highest ideals of duty, honor, and loyalty | 7 | | thus providing her with the virtues necessary to assume the | 8 | | responsibilities of a loving companion, wife, and parent; | 9 | | therefore, be it
