| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Clarence "Leroy" Kelley of Colona, who | 4 | | passed away on March 9, 2020; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Leroy Kelley was born in Geneseo to Clarence W. | 6 | | and Pearl V. Stephenson Kelley on January 10, 1943; he served | 7 | | in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era; he married Susan C. | 8 | | "Sue" Miller in Aledo on August 3, 1964; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Leroy Kelley served as a police officer in Green | 10 | | Rock; he then served as a public works director in Green Rock | 11 | | for over 20 years; he retired in 1999; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Leroy Kelley enjoyed hanging out in his garage, | 13 | | building and remodeling homes for family and friends, boating, | 14 | | being on the Rock River, being at "The Camp" with his family | 15 | | and friends, shooting at the family range, and listening to ZZ | 16 | | Top and Styx; he especially loved spending time with his | 17 | | children, his grandchildren, and all of his four-legged | 18 | | friends; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Leroy Kelley was preceded in death by his parents; | 20 | | his brothers, John and Steve Kelley; and his great friend, Mike | 21 | | Hergert; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Leroy Kelley is survived by his wife of 56 years, | 2 | | Sue; his children, Carol (JC) Griffin, James Kelley, Crystal | 3 | | (Mark) Kelley Erickson, and Brandy Kelley; his grandchildren, | 4 | | Nichole, Stormi, Dakota, Landon, Torie, Dallas, and Brandyn; | 5 | | his seven great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Charlie | 6 | | Kelley, Marge VanKlavern, Tom Kelley, and Marlene Ong; | 7 | | therefore, be it
| 8 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | 9 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 10 | | Clarence "Leroy" Kelley and extend our sincere condolences to | 11 | | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 12 | | further
