| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of William Harold "Bill" Brasie of Crystal | 4 | | Lake, formerly of Elmhurst, who passed away on January 15, 2017 | 5 | | at the age of 88; and
| 6 | | WHEREAS, William Braise was born in Oak Park to Harold and | 7 | | Dorothy Brasie on July 12, 1928; he was a graduate of Oak Park | 8 | | High School and attended Indiana University; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, William Braise was a second generation owner of | 10 | | Middlewest Pet Foods, Inc.; when he retired, he devoted himself | 11 | | to volunteer work with Salvation Army and was named Volunteer | 12 | | of the Year in 1999; he was also a member of Lions | 13 | | International and received the Lions Committee Chairman Award | 14 | | for Crystal Lake in 2005; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, William Braise was preceded in death by his wife | 16 | | of 64 years, Helen; his parents; and his eldest son, Stephen; | 17 | | and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, William Braise is survived by his children, | 19 | | Kathleen (Bill) Marciniak and Phillip (Cindy) Brasie; his | 20 | | daughter-in-law, Jeannie; his grandchildren, Scott Shenefelt, | 21 | | Mark (Esther) Shenefelt, Stephanie (Steve) Iwanski, Jason |
