| 1 | | SENATE RESOLUTION
| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Margaret E. Hagglund of Gurnee, who | 4 | | passed away on April 3, 2014; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Margaret Hagglund was born in Grayslake on July 9, | 6 | | 1929 to Edwin and Maude Hall; she married Bert L. Hagglund on | 7 | | April 16, 1949 and they settled in Gurnee; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Margaret Hagglund worked as a bookkeeper for many | 9 | | years until she retired in 1992; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Margaret Hagglund was a very active member of her | 11 | | community; she served lunches at the park district, worked | 12 | | booths at the Lake County Fair, and always provided baked goods | 13 | | for fundraisers; in 1997, she and her husband were honored as | 14 | | Gurnee Days Honorees and a tree was planted in their name at | 15 | | Viking Park; she was a member of the Gurnee Community Church | 16 | | and enjoyed playing cards, socializing with friends, tending to | 17 | | her roses, spending time with family, and passing on her | 18 | | husband's Swedish family traditions; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Margaret Hagglund was preceded in death by her | 20 | | parents, and by her husband; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Margaret Hagglund is survived by her children, | 2 | | Debbie (Ron) Hagey, Curt (Kathy) Hagglund, and Lori (Jim) | 3 | | Seefeldt; her brothers, Edwin Hall, Jr. and Bill (Katy) Hall; | 4 | | 10 grandchildren, Jenny Killian, Sheri Hagglund, Jana (John) | 5 | | Tilleman, Julie (Michael) Triggs, Carrie (George) Liakas, | 6 | | Jamie (Matt) Greene, Megan Hagglund, and Michael, Lauren, and | 7 | | Alyssa Seefeldt; 7 great-grandchildren, one due in August; | 8 | | several nieces and nephews, and countless friends; therefore, | 9 | | be it
| 10 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | 11 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 12 | | Margaret E. Hagglund, and extend our sincere condolences to her | 13 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | 14 | | further
| 15 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 16 | | presented to the family of Margaret Hagglund as an expression | 17 | | of our deepest sympathy.
