| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | 3 | | Representatives are pleased to congratulate Craig M. Gilmore on | 4 | | the occasion of his retirement from State Farm; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, After nearly 40 years of service to State Farm | 6 | | policyholders, Director of Multicultural Markets and Agency | 7 | | Field Executive Craig Gilmore, CPCU, will retire effective | 8 | | April 1, 2013; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Following his graduation from Illinois State | 10 | | University, Craig Gilmore began his State Farm career in 1973 | 11 | | as an auto underwriter in Bloomington; after 3 years in | 12 | | underwriting and a year as an operations supervisor, he spent | 13 | | 10 years in human resources, which included work in Illinois | 14 | | and Texas and 2 tours of duty at the corporate headquarters; | 15 | | and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, In 1988, Craig Gilmore became a scratch agent (new | 17 | | market) in Chicago and 3 years later became an agency manager; | 18 | | he moved from agency field leadership to an agency field | 19 | | executive in 1995 and then became State Farm's first regional | 20 | | director of multicultural markets; and
| 21 | | WHEREAS, Craig Gilmore has been an active community leader, |

| 1 | | chairman of the board of directors for 100 Black Men of Chicago | 2 | | Inc., and a dedicated member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Nu | 3 | | Psi Lambda chapter; and
| 4 | | WHEREAS, Craig Gilmore plans to stay active in various | 5 | | community, civic, and business ventures; he plans to enjoy | 6 | | traveling, bicycling, fitness, reading, concerts, and spending | 7 | | time with his wife, Judy, his family, and friends; therefore, | 8 | | be it
| 9 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | 10 | | NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | 11 | | we congratulate Craig Gilmore on his retirement from State Farm | 12 | | after almost 40 years, thank him for his service, and wish him | 13 | | well in all his future endeavours; and be it further
