| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Milan Louis "Mike" Homola, who passed | 4 | | away on March 28, 2014; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Milan Homola was born on September 25, 1919 and | 6 | | raised in Cary; he married Rose M. McCarron in 1955; and
| 7 | | WHEREAS, Milan Homola, along with his friend and partner | 8 | | Leo Krug, owned and operated Hom-Kru Builders, which built | 9 | | custom homes in the Barrington Hills area for over 25 years; he | 10 | | was a Lieutenant in the Lake County Fox Valley Police Reserves, | 11 | | and, in his later years, he worked for Nunda Township in the | 12 | | paint recycling program; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Milan Homola was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and | 14 | | loved being outside working and going fishing; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Milan Homola was preceded in death by his wife of | 16 | | 44 years, Rose; his parents, Anton and Catherine; his siblings, | 17 | | Helen, George, and Lucille; and a granddaughter, Nicole; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Milan Homola was a devoted father to Michael | 19 | | (Marie) Johnston, Jean (Thomas) Behrens, and Philip (Carol) | 20 | | Homola; a loving grandfather to Jennifer (Glenn) Korhorn, |

| 1 | | Jeffrey Behrens, Milan (Tara) Homola, Rebecca (Aaron) Rudd, | 2 | | Donald (Kimberly) Rushen, and Rosanne Rushen; and a proud | 3 | | great-grandfather to Talissa, Trevor, Tyler, Ariana, Brooklyn, | 4 | | Isaiah, Zachary, and Kaitlyn; therefore, be it
| 5 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | 6 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 7 | | Milan Louis "Mike" Homola, and extend our sincere condolences | 8 | | to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be | 9 | | it further
