| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | 3 | | to learn of the death of Mark Bell of Streamwood, who passed | 4 | | away on June 5, 2022; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Mark Bell grew up in Michigan but was a longtime | 6 | | resident of Streamwood; and
| 7 | | WHEREAS, Mark Bell served as the custodial manager of the | 8 | | Streamwood Park District, where he worked for 26 years; he | 9 | | started as a custodian with the park district on March 18, | 10 | | 1996, two weeks prior to the grand opening of the Park Place | 11 | | Family Recreation Center; he was noted by colleagues for being | 12 | | a great coworker and the unofficial historian of Park Place; | 13 | | and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Prior to his tenure with the Streamwood Park | 15 | | District, Mark Bell worked as a superintendent at Woodfield | 16 | | Mall in Schaumburg during the 1980s and 1990s, overseeing | 17 | | building maintenance and cleaning crews; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Mark Bell was an avid fan of the University of | 19 | | Michigan; he was very involved at his church, enjoyed golfing, | 20 | | and loved spending time with his family; alongside his wife, | 21 | | children, and grandchildren, he was a fixture at Streamwood |

| 1 | | Park District parks, facilities, and events; and
| 2 | | WHEREAS, Mark Bell was known for being a kind, patient, | 3 | | humble, and hardworking person and a devoted family man; and
| 4 | | WHEREAS, Mark Bell was the husband of Trish for 40 years; | 5 | | the father of David (Anna) Bell and Karen (Ray Krivanek) Bell; | 6 | | the grandfather of Emma, Zach, Natalie, Abigail, Jake, Ray, | 7 | | and honorary grandson, Dryden Helland; the brother of Dave | 8 | | (Pam) Bell and Sandy (the late Phil) Richardson; and the | 9 | | brother-in-law of Bob Bouse; therefore, be it
| 10 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | 11 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 12 | | Mark Bell and extend our sincere condolences to his family, | 13 | | friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further
| 14 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 15 | | presented to the family of Mark Bell as an expression of our | 16 | | deepest sympathy.
