| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Janice Faye Tyler, who passed away on May | 4 | | 17, 2014; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Janice Tyler was born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas on | 6 | | September 18, 1953 to Earnest Joseph, Sr. and Lena Maye Tyler; | 7 | | she attended Townsend Park Elementary School in Pine Bluff, | 8 | | Carter H. Harrison High School in Chicago, and Malcolm X | 9 | | College; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Janice Tyler was employed by the Hillside Manor | 11 | | Hotel as a manager, where she served faithfully for 30 years; | 12 | | and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Janice Tyler was preceded in death by her father, | 14 | | Earnest Joseph Tyler Sr.; sisters, Cynthia Y. Tyler and Alma L. | 15 | | Tyler; grandparents, LC and Beguila Harper; 2 uncles and 2 | 16 | | aunts; one nephew, Earnest J. Tyler III; and 2 brothers-in-law, | 17 | | James Hunter and Robert Walton; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Janice Tyler is survived by her son, Terrence | 19 | | (Kisha) Lang; 2 daughters, Tracey F. Land and Stephanie Tyler; | 20 | | 6 grandchildren, Rakita, Tyericka, Telvin, Tyrin, Travion, and | 21 | | Princess Isis; one great-grandchild, Trinity; 6 sisters, |
