| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | 3 | | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Peter | 4 | | Alan Lentine of Gurnee, who passed away on February 24, 2013; | 5 | | and
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Peter Lentine was born on November 19, 1934, in | 7 | | Waukegan; his parents were Dominick and Anna (Zarlinga) | 8 | | Lentine; he married Cassandra Stone in 1987, in Waukegan; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Peter Lentine grew up in Waukegan and graduated | 10 | | from Waukegan Township High School; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, After high school, Peter Lentine served in the | 12 | | United States Marine Corps for 3 years; he fought in the Korean | 13 | | War and was honorably discharged in 1956, achieving the rank of | 14 | | sergeant; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Peter Lentine retired from the Illinois Bell | 16 | | Telephone Co. after nearly 30 years of service; he also served | 17 | | as a Waukegan City Alderman for 12 years; and | 18 | | WHEREAS, Peter Lentine was preceded in death by his | 19 | | parents, Anna and Dominick Lentine; his brother, Joseph; and | 20 | | his grandson, John Michael Walczak Jr.; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Peter Lentine is survived by his wife, Cassandra; | 2 | | his son, Perry Lentine (Heather Mason); his daughters, Juliann | 3 | | May, Gina Lentine, Lisa (John) Walczak, Rhonda (Bob) Naylor, | 4 | | Christie (Pete) Commons, and Lori (Jim) Volpentesta; his | 5 | | brother, William (Patricia) Lentine; his sister, Linda (David) | 6 | | DeRue; his sisters-in-law, Renea (Bill) Wiley and Resha (Doug) | 7 | | Balance; his 12 grandchildren; and his 2 great-granddaughters; | 8 | | therefore, be it
| 9 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | 10 | | NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | 11 | | we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of | 12 | | Peter Alan Lentine; and be it further
| 13 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 14 | | presented to the family of Peter Lentine as an expression of | 15 | | our sympathy.
