| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Anton "Tony" Stricker of Harvard, who | 4 | | passed away on December 22, 1927; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Tony Stricker was born in Chicago to Anton and | 6 | | Rose Stricker on December 22, 1927; he married Shirley Jane | 7 | | Planzer in Hartland on December 2, 1950; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Tony Stricker owned and operated Swiss Maid Bakery | 9 | | and founded Precision Products and The Practical Baker; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Tony Stricker was a member of the Harvard Lions | 11 | | Club, the Harvard Moose Lodge, the Baker's Dozen, and the | 12 | | American Society of Bakery Engineers; he received the Retail | 13 | | Bakers of America Emeritus Award in 2014; he was talented in | 14 | | his many trades, including farming, baking, land development, | 15 | | engineering, and video production; he was passionate about his | 16 | | work and hobbies; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Tony Stricker will be remembered for his large | 18 | | laugh, his infectious smile, his jokes, and his storytelling; | 19 | | and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Tony Stricker was preceded in death by his wife of |

| 1 | | 57 years, Shirley; his son, Eric; and two brothers, Roger and | 2 | | Teddy, Tony's twin brother; and
| 3 | | WHEREAS, Tony Stricker is survived by his sons, Kurt | 4 | | (former spouse, Lori), Paul (Laura), Mark (Kim), John (Chris), | 5 | | and Todd (Lindsey); his daughter-in-law, Shelley; his | 6 | | grandchildren, Keslie, Kristin, Taryn, Jeremy, Andrea, Aaron, | 7 | | Alyssa, Shea, Ian, Ashlyn, Alek, Macey, Mikhal, Karson, Kaegan, | 8 | | Sophie, and Reid; his great-grandchildren, Lyla, Alexa, and | 9 | | Behrett; and his life partner for the last nine years, Patricia | 10 | | Kyle; therefore, be it
| 11 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | 12 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 13 | | Anton "Tony" Stricker and extend our sincere condolences to his | 14 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 15 | | further
