| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | 3 | | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Ella Mae | 4 | | Love of Chicago, who passed away on September 18, 2018; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Ella Love was born in Nashville, Tennessee to | 6 | | Richard and Beulah Love on February 18, 1923; she attended | 7 | | elementary school and graduated from high school in Nashville, | 8 | | Tennessee; she married Curtis Ward in 1951; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Affectionately known as "Mama Ward," Ella Love | 10 | | committed to her faith at an early age at the Greater | 11 | | Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church in Chicago, where she | 12 | | served with the Willing Workers Club and sang in the choir; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Ella Love was a devoted and loving wife, mother, | 14 | | aunt, grandmother, and loyal friend; she loved her family and | 15 | | her church family; she enjoyed entertaining, shopping, dining, | 16 | | and traveling and looked forward to serving and singing at her | 17 | | church; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Ella Love was preceded in death by her parents; | 19 | | her husband, Curtis; her son, Dwayne; her stepsons, Curtis Jr. | 20 | | and John Henry; and her grandson, Jewel Oliver; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Ella Love is survived by her daughters, Cassandra | 2 | | Ward (Jess I. Jr.) Elston and Yolanda Charis (Marshaund) Moore; | 3 | | her granddaughters, Yolanda Charis, Natasha, Lenora, Tajuanna, | 4 | | Jasmine, Marquita, and Chiniqua "Niki"; her grandsons, | 5 | | Kurtease, Jonathon, Keaton, and Curtis III "Tank"; and her many | 6 | | great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended | 7 | | family and friends; therefore, be it
| 8 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | 9 | | HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | 10 | | mourn the passing of Ella Mae Love and extend our sincere | 11 | | condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved | 12 | | her; and be it further
