| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of George T. Hellmann of Richmond, who | 4 | | passed away on January 2, 2018; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, George Hellmann was born in Covington, Kentucky to | 6 | | Wilfrid and Dorothy (Herrmann) Hellmann on December 31, 1935; | 7 | | he served in the United States Army as a SP/4 in the Signal | 8 | | Corps from June 1960 until November 1962; he married Kathleen | 9 | | Steinwand in Colby, Wisconsin on June 6, 1964; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, George Hellmann was a self-employed installer and | 11 | | repairman for Carillon Music for over 50 years; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, George Hellmann was a member of the Paul C. | 13 | | Hoffman American Legion Post #253 in Richmond, DeSoto Motor | 14 | | Cars of Illinois, the Walter P. Chrysler Club, the Illinois | 15 | | Railroad Museum, the Midwest Train Collectors, and the | 16 | | Stateline Classic Antique Touring Society; he enjoyed | 17 | | photography, radios, theater organ, trains, and cars; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, George Hellmann was preceded in death by his | 19 | | parents; and three of his brothers, Billy, Jerry, and Dennis | 20 | | Hellmann; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, George Hellmann is survived by his wife, Kate; his | 2 | | sons, Andrew (Cyndi Motley) Hellmann and Jon Hellmann; his | 3 | | granddaughter, Airman Basic Jasmine Hellmann; his sisters, | 4 | | Mary Carol Hellmann OSB, Dots (Dave) Due, Marney Bresser, and | 5 | | Ginny (Jim) Robke; his brothers, Fred (Linda) Hellmann and | 6 | | Steve (Jane Hellmann); therefore, be it
| 7 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | 8 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 9 | | George T. Hellmann and extend our sincere condolences to his | 10 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 11 | | further
